I majored in Mathematics at Moravian College. I graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree. My favorite thing about math is the feeling you get after solving a complex problem. It is such a rewarding experience. I feel satisfied and accomplished, which is exactly how I want my students to feel too. To me, math is an alternate way of viewing the world. I enjoy the logical nature of pure mathematics but at the same time, I believe that there is more than one correct way to learn how to solve the problems. I find it extremely important to understand how each individual see the problem instead of telling them how I would solve it. I try to tailor my lessons to each student's individual skills. I feel it is important to use real life examples so that the student really understands the material they are learning. This helps them be successful when it is time to take a test. This teaching philosophy has been very successful for me in my previous tutoring experiences. I have experience in all areas of math, such as calculus, pre-calc, elementary and middle school math, trigonometry, and algebra. I always come prepared and am knowledgeable, courteous, and approachable. I am very enthusiastic about fitness and in my spare time, I enjoy football, hockey, weightlifting, and running. I am also very fond of landscaping!
